Team Rocket (Pokemon Red, Blue, Gold & Silver)
Team Rocket is led by Giovanni and their goal is to make the most money possible. They attempted to steal and utilize Pokemon (and items) to make a profit. They are definitely the best-known villainous team because Jesse, James, and Meowth have appeared in most episodes of the anime series. Rocket serves as the main villains in Kanto and also in Johto. The grunts wear black uniforms with a giant red ‘R’ on the chest.
Some of the top members of Team Rocket include Giovanni, Jesse, James, Meowth, Domino, Tyson, Matori, Pierce, and Dr. Zager.
Team Aqua (Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire)
Team Aqua is led by Archie and their main goal is to cover the earth with as much water as possible. They are one of the two main villainous teams from Hoenn. The grunts wear blue striped uniforms and they dress like they are pirates.

Team Galactic is led by Cyrus and their goal is to re-create the Pokemon world but under Cyrus’ vision. They are the main villainous team in Sinnoh. Their grunts wear black and white uniforms that look like space suits. They also wear teal bowl cut haircuts.

Team Plasma is led by Ghetsis and their goal is to separate humans from their possession of Pokemon. They are the main villainous team in Unova. Their grunt uniforms look like they are knight uniforms.

Team Flaire is led by Lysandre and their goal is to create a “beautiful” world where only members of their team benefit. They are the main villainous team in Kalos. Their grunt uniforms are red suits and they also have glasses.

Team Skull (Pokemon Sun and Moon)
Team Skull is led by Guzma and their goal is to make enough money so that they are able to survive. They are the main villainous team in the Alola region. Their grunt uniforms are black and white, which includes a bandana over their faces.

Team Yell (Pokemon Sword & Shield)
Team Yell is led by Piers and their goal is to make sure that Marnie becomes a Pokemon Champion. They are the main villainous team in the Galar region. Their grunt uniforms are black and pink, with a punk style. Their hometown is Spikemuth City.
None of the trainers on Team Yell have been revealed other than Piers.
