The second generation of Pokemon was introduced in 2000 with the Gold & Silver versions. Fans were introduced to the Johto region and also to 100 new Pokemon. This will be different from other quizzes that you may have taken. Instead of writing out each one, you will need to choose the one that doesn’t belong from the Generation.
The Ultimate Gen 2 Pokemon Quiz
Instructions: We will give you 11 Pokemon and you need to let us know the one that doesn’t belong from Generation 2. For example, if there are 10 names and the last 1 is Charmander, you would select Charmander. That is because it belongs to Generation 1 and not Generation 2. There will only be one of them per question that doesn’t belong. We found this is easier than having you have to write out each one and it is still a great memory test.

Some Random Facts About Pokemon Gen II
– The first Generation two Pokemon that was seen in the anime series was Ho-Oh. It actually made an appearance back in episode 1 of the anime, titled, Pokémon – I Choose You!. Pretty crazy considering that this episode came out in 1997 and the Gen II didn’t come out until late 1999.

– Tsunekazu Ishihara, who is the President of the Pokemon company, says that he thought Gold and Silver were going to be the final Pokemon games ever released. He quickly changed his mind after the games sold so well.
– In 2020, Umbreon placed 5th in the Pokemon of the Year voting. It is the highest-placing Pokemon from the second generation.
