Charmander

Charmander is a pure fire type that was first introduced in Generation 1. It evolves into Charmeleon, which shares its typing. Charmeleon then evolves into Charizard, which is a fire and flying type. If you are a fan of the anime, you know that Charmander and its evolutions play a big role in it. Ash Ketchum has evolved it from a Charmander all the way into a Charizard.

Cyndaquil

Cyndaquil is a pure fire type that was introduced in Generation 2. It evolves into Quilava and then Typhlosion, which both share its typing. In the anime, Ash caught a Cyndaquil and it later evolved into Quilava. We also saw Cyndaquil used by Jimmy and Dawn.
