Charmander
Charmander is a pure fire type that was first introduced in Generation 1. It evolves into Charmeleon, which shares its typing. Charmeleon then evolves into Charizard, which is a fire and flying type. If you are a fan of the anime, you know that Charmander and its evolutions play a big role in it. Ash Ketchum has evolved it from a Charmander all the way into a Charizard.
Cyndaquil
Cyndaquil is a pure fire type that was introduced in Generation 2. It evolves into Quilava and then Typhlosion, which both share its typing. In the anime, Ash caught a Cyndaquil and it later evolved into Quilava. We also saw Cyndaquil used by Jimmy and Dawn.
Torchic
Torchic is a pure fire type that was introduced in Generation 3. It evolves into Combusken and then Blaziken, which are both a fire and fighting combination. In the anime, May used a Torchic (and later Blaziken) as one of her main Pokemon. As of writing this, Ash has not caught one.
Chimchar
Chimchar is a pure fire type that was introduced in Generation 4. It evolves into Monferno and then Infernape, which are both a fire/fighting combination. In the anime, Ash has a Chimchar and evolved it all the way into an Infernape.
Tepig
Tepig is a pure fire type that was introduced in Generation 5. It evolves into Pignite and then Emboar, which are both a fire/fighting combination. In the anime, Ash was able to catch one and he evolved it into a Pignite.
Fennekin
