Fake Pokemon Trivia Questions And Answers
Here are all of the quiz answers that you just answered and also some more context about each of them. This includes where we pulled the fake Pokemon from and more.
1) Pumpkaboo
Pumpkaboo is a REAL Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 6. It is a Ghost and Grass combination that evolves into Gourgeist when it is traded. Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist are the two only Pokemon who can use the Trick-or-Treat move.
In the Pokemon anime, Pumpkaboo is one of the main Pokemon that is used by Jessie, who is a member of Team Rocket.
2) Leomon
Leomon is NOT a real Pokemon and it is actually the name of a Digimon. I don’t blame anyone who fell for this one as it definitely sounds like it could be legitimate. Leomon is known by the nickname, “King of Beasts” in the Digimon world. It is a man-lion that is orange.
3) Sandygast
Sandygast is a REAL Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 7. It is a ghost and ground combination that evolves into Palossand starting at level 42. Sandygast is a Pokemon that is formed from the sand. Along with Palossand, Sandygast is the only Pokemon that is able to learn the move Shore Up.
It has made a handful of appearances in the anime series.
4) Impidimp
Impidimp is a REAL Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 8. It is a dark and fairy combination that evolves into Morgrem and then into Grimmsnarl.
It has only made a few appearances in the anime series, so I don’t blame you for questioning this one.
5) Borreload
Borreload is NOT a real Pokemon as I actually stole this from a Yugioh card, which is called the Borreload Dragon. This was another tricky one as it could be an evolved form of something like a Politoed.
6) Vorinclex
Vorinclex is NOT a real Pokemon as I stole this one from a Magic card, which is called Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger. If you are a fan of Magic cards, this was probably easy for you to spot. For the average person, this might have stumped you.
7) Audino
Audino is a REAL Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 5. It is a normal-type that does not evolve into anything. It is also one of the Pokemon that can Mega Evolve.
In the anime, it is known for being used by Nurse Joy.
8) Cryogonal
Cryogonal is a REAL Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 5. It is an ice-type that does not evolve into anything. Cryogonal definitely sounds like it could be fake but it isn’t.
It has made a handful of appearances in the anime so far.
9) Barbaracle
Barbaracle is a REAL Pokemon that was introduced in Generation 6. It is a rock and water combination that evolves from Binacle. This is another one that sounds like it could be a fake one.
10) Siamat
This is NOT a real Pokemon as I actually stole this from the Hearthstone card game. This comes from the Saviors of Uldum set.
