You can tell them apart by the flower on their back. The female ones have a seed in their flower and the men do not.
Butterfree
You can tell them apart by the spots on the lower wings. The females have black spots on their lower wings and the males do not.
Rattata & Raticate
You can tell Rattata and Raticate apart by their whiskers. Female Rattata and Raticate have shorter whiskers than males.
Pikachu & Raichu
You can tell Pikachu and Raichu apart by their tails. Female Pikachu have heart-shaped tails. Female Raichu do not have a point on their tails.
Nidoran, Nidorino, Nidorina, Nidoking, & Nidoqueen
You can tell Nidoran apart by their color. Male Nidoran are purple and female Nidoran are light blue.
